The Living Walls team had the pleasure of collaborating with Emory University students to create a mural based on prompts surrounding the idea of home and finding community and purpose on campus. We held conversations with the students, prompted them to create imagery inspired by our discussions, and created a design composed of their collective ideas, all leading up to a volunteer paint day where 100 students came together to paint the mural together.
This mural encompasses the idea of belonging no matter where you come from or where you hope to go. It communicates an idea of home that incorporates a variety of landscapes, seasons, lifestyles, activities, and an overall sense of collectivism, serving as a reminder of the support that is right in front of us as we dream up the world we want to see.
