“Storyteller”

by Neka King
for AT&T Believe Atlanta initiative
📍 Mercedes-Benz Stadium

The idea for this mural is to tell the story of the surrounding Westside communities through story blocks and symbols. The mural is divided into block shapes, and inside each block, a narrative is told through imagery. The imagery in each block represents all diverse communities, the history of the neighborhood, and depictions of the stadium. This mural encourages all viewers to stop and take in all the stories Atlanta has to tell.

Neka King is an illustrator and muralist. Located in Atlanta, GA, she received her BFA in Studio Arts from Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design at Georgia State University. Her work relates to her personal experiences as Black, American, Female, and Southern.
