My art has always been used as a way to cope with things out of my control. When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade this year, I felt disheartened and unmotivated. I felt a huge loss for human rights in this country and was scared for what would follow. After many conversations with Living Walls, we worked together to come up with ways to take a stance and motivate those who were let down by this decision. Each illustration in this mural is something related to my emotions in regard to the ruling. Some of them are created out of anger, and some out of hopefulness. I want people to look at this and find a message that speaks to them personally. There is so much work to be done. The fight is not over yet.
