“To Our Friends | A Nos Amis”

by Dianna Settles
for Living Walls Abroad
📍 10th Arrondissement

Settles’ Paris mural for Living Walls Abroad was painted on Alibert Street in the city’s 10th district along the right bank of the River Seine and near two major train stations. To Our Friends, as it’s called, depicts community and friendship. Her mural features people of diverse backgrounds basking in nature and enjoying each other’s company.

Dianna Settles is a Vietnamese-American artist in Atlanta, Georgia who received her BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2014. Her current work explores moments of joyful stillness amidst the cascading series of crises called modern life, accomplished through her synthesis of traditional Vietnamese and classical European painting styles.

There is so much economic disparity, and one thing people at the bottom feel is a lack of space to relax.
